I’m Aria Garland, an artist living in a small town just outside Seattle with my family, two cats, a tiny dog and an unknown number of honey bees.
I opened my studio, Aria Creative Arts, in early 2020. Art became my saving grace during COVID times and now I cannot imagine life without creating daily! My work is primarily mixed media art on canvas and paper - acrylics, collage and pastels.
For me environment is so important and creating art that uplifts and adds positive energy to people’s lives is exciting and satisfying. I have been doodling flowers since I could hold a pencil and growing up, I spent hours in my mother’s flower beds enjoying the peace and beauty they brought (my little refuge growing up in a big family). My inspiration comes primarily from flowers, rural life and landscapes. I try to add my own whimsy and creative touches to these natural settings. I have a background in fashion and graphic design, but work in the tech industry by day.
